About Norcada
Norcada is a leading nano-MEMS and photonics product company specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced microscopy solutions, sensor technology, precision photonics, and vacuum components. With over two decades of cleanroom-based design, prototyping, and manufacturing expertise, we have been integral to new materials and product development in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Over the past decade, we have intensified our focus on innovation in nano-bio physiology, solid-state and bio nanopores, and biosensors, establishing breakthrough platforms that serve researchers globally.
Our Core Products
We design and manufacture a comprehensive range of solutions. Our portfolio includes:
- Microscopy Solutions: Custom and standard MEMS chips and holders for all electron microscopy (SEM/TEM) and X-ray microscopy equipment, including high-accuracy heating, heating+gas (catalysis), heating+biasing (w/ gas), opto-biasing, liquid cell, and electrochemistry holders
- Nano-MEMS Devices: Thin film membrane devices, tomography sample holders, and correlative analysis chips designed for seamless integration across multiple analytical platforms. Through the Norcada Innovation Platform, we serve a large community of collaborators in accelerator physics, electron and X-ray beamline or microscope components, environmental sensing, and photonics solutions
- Quantum Sensors and Resonators: The only commercially available platform for quantum resonators on the market. From string and trampoline resonators to metasurfaces, numerous researchers have established their sensor technology on our chip and component solutions
- Photonics Components: Single-mode semiconductor distributed feedback (DFB) lasers operating in the 1.3µm – 3.7µm wavelength range for industrial sensing, environmental monitoring, and TDLAS applications. We also specialize in terahertz optics (polarizers, filters) as well as electro-optical component assembly and packaging
- Sample Preparation and Handling Solutions: UltiFlow, our unique sample preparation and hydrophilization solution, along with flowcells for versatile sample handling and electrical noise management enclosures for nano-bio and other sensor technology applications
- Nanopore Platform: The only sub-10nm solid-state nanopore platform on the market, offering nanopore-ready and nanopore-embedded solutions at both small and mass scale for advanced nano-bio physiology and biosensing applications.
