Membrane Window Products

Norcada provides high-quality ultra-clean silicon nitride membrane windows for the microscopy and TEM analysis research communities.

• The silicon nitride membrane is robust and low stress (<250MPa), and is ideally suited for a wide range of microscopy and spectroscopy work such as TEM, X-ray, IR and UV.

• Standard silicon nitride membrane windows are fabricated on 100µm and 200µm thick silicon support frames (2.65mm dia., 5x5mm, 7.5x7.5mm, and 10x10mm). 

• A wide range  of window sizes are available for our standard nitride window products, from 50x50µm to 5x5mm.  Nitride thickness available range from 10nm to 1.0µm.

• All nitride windows are cleaned vigorously to remove any organic residue and carefully inspected and packaged to ensure particle contamination is minimal.

Norcada also provides Specialty Membrane Windows such as All Silicon membrane windows for Nitrogen Free anaylisis and High Stress Stoichiometric silicon nitride membrane windows for quantum nano mechanical studies.
